Johor is a state of Malaysia in the south of the Malay Peninsula, bordering Pahang, Malacca and Negeri Sembilan, with maritime borders to Singapore and Indonesia. Johor Bahru is its capital and economic centre, and the 2020 census recorded a population of 4,009,670 across an area of 19,166 square kilometers.
