South Sulawesi is a province occupying the southern peninsula of the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia, together with the Selayar Islands to its south. It is bordered by Central Sulawesi and West Sulawesi to the north, the Gulf of Bone and Southeast Sulawesi to the east, the Makassar Strait to the west and the Flores Sea to the south.
