Atmospheric and Climatic Processes

Processes governing the circulation of the atmosphere and large-scale climate patterns: atmospheric circulation, monsoon circulation and the El Nino-Southern Oscillation. Belongs here: a process whose primary mechanism is atmospheric or climatic. Does not belong here: the water cycle or ocean circulation, held under Hydrological and Oceanic Processes because their primary mechanism is the movement of water rather than air, even though the two interact closely.
