Veracruz, officially the Free and Sovereign State of Veracruz de Ignacio de la Llave, is one of Mexico's thirty-two federal entities, located in eastern Mexico along the Gulf coast and bordered by seven states including Tamaulipas, Puebla and Oaxaca. It is divided into 212 municipalities and its capital is Xalapa.
