Inner Mongolia, officially the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is an autonomous region of China whose border runs along roughly two-thirds the length of the country's frontier with independent Mongolia, plus a short stretch bordering Russia. Its capital is Hohhot, and other major cities include Baotou, Chifeng, Tongliao and Ordos.
