Hebei is a province in North China, the country's sixth most populous province with more than 75 million people, whose capital and largest city is Shijiazhuang. It borders Shanxi, Henan, Shandong, Liaoning and Inner Mongolia, and entirely surrounds the direct-administered municipalities of Beijing and Tianjin on land. The great majority of its population is Han Chinese, with smaller Manchu, Hui and Mongol minorities.
