Ten Chinese Cities from the Bohai Coast to the Western Plateaus
This path crosses northern and western China from the Bohai Sea to the plateaus of the interior. It starts with industrial cities of the Hebei plain, follows the Yellow River basin through ancient capitals and grassland cities, climbs the Tibetan Plateau, and ends on the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, so that each stop shows how a different landscape produced a different kind of city.
