Regions of the Asian continent under the UN M49 geoscheme (Central, Eastern, South-eastern, Southern and Western Asia), plus the atlas own physiographic and cultural clusters within Asia that the M49 subregion lines do not capture on their own, such as the Arabian Peninsula, the Caucasus, the Levant, the wider Middle East, and Siberia. Belongs here: any supra-national grouping whose member countries or territories are wholly within Asia. Does not belong here: a region that spans Asia and another continent around a shared physical feature, held under Transregional and Maritime Regions.
